Crane Cams is Back in Business
It looks like Crane Cams may finally be about to begin helping us make more power once again. The company, which had gone through several ownership upheavals before closing its doors in February, was purchased in April by S&S Cycle, which specializes in V-twin motorcyles. It turns out that when S&S bought Crane’s assets in an auction, they had a deal to sell off the automotive side of things, which fell through. You can read a very interesting story on that in the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
Now, however, S&S has announced that it is finally restarting manufacturing and sales of Crane’s motorcycle and ingition system lines. Unfortunately, automotive cams and other valvetrain components are still on hold and no target date has been mentioned. You can read the full report here.
