Mittler Bros. Takes Over Crankshaft Operations from Oliver Racing Parts
Mittler Brothers has long been a truster supplier of fabrication tools for race teams and car builders, and recently they began offering parts and components as well. Now they’ve added a line of billet crankshafts that you might be a bit familiar with. Mittler Bros. Acquired the crankshaft manufacturing segment of Oliver Racing Parts in Grand Rapids, MI. Cranks are produced specifically for all types of motorsports, including oval track racing, road racing, vintage road racing, off-road, drag racing, tractor pulling and even antique restorations.
Mittler Brothers says before the first chip of steel is cut, engineers develop a solid computer model from a customer’s order form, and then they create the physical crankshaft from the model. There are no big production runs, so each crank is created specifically for the needs of each customer. This should help produce a crank with the minimum weight counterbalance so the motor will spin up faster. For more information, check out the Mittler Brothers website here.
