It appears that quality aftermarket parts are beginning to arrive for Ford’s new 5.0 Coyote engine in the 2011 Mustang. Roush has just announced it has completed development of the 5.0L Roushcharger Tuner kit and it is available for power addicts looking to add a little more oomph to their late-model Mustangs.
Roush’s newest supercharger kit is based on the popular TVS2300 Roushcharger unit. It arrives with a 90mm pulley which puts the total boost in the range of seven psi. That’s enough to push your stock 5.0 Mustang north of 550 horsepower (on pump gas!) to go with 470 lb/ft of torque. Read more…

The driver of the Firebird that flies past is Brendan Edan who is just 19 years old. Estimates are the he was going approximately 100 miles per hour when he passed the police officer, went into the center divider and launched himself into the overpass. We’ve found no word on in Brendan had a seizure, was texting on his cell phone or just had a bout of youthful stupidity. Either way, it’s a miracle he survived after launching his car into the concrete support for the overpass. Last we heard, Brendan was in the hospital with serious injuries.
Anybody know any more about what was going on here?
