About This Site

First of all, welcome!

StreetMuscleAction.com is a brand new web-based video magazine devoted to everything and anything when it comes to cars and performance.  We’re just getting started, but we’ve already got some really cool videos lined up and will be posting them in the weeks to come.  They include everything from complete engine builds, how to do your own paint and body work, chassis and suspension upgrades—you name it!

Actually, please name it.  Right now, the direction of Street Muscle Action is still evolving, and we’d love to hear your tips and suggestions.  What do you want to see? The forums are now up, so please sign up and give us your input.

The idea behind Street Muscle Action is to provide solid tech information in an easy-to-understand video format.  Hopefully, there is something to be learned from every video.  They are easily downloaded and expandable to full-screen size.  So pop some popcorn, sit back and enjoy.  If you are trying to do something in your shop that you watched on video but can’t remember all the details, try printing out one of the instruction sheets posted beneath just about every video.  We’re also including dyno sheets and contact information for all the manufacturers mentioned.  As the video library increases, you can search for just the topics that interest you.

And finally, a note about yours truly.  My name is Jeff Huneycutt.  I’m the former editor of Circle Track magazine and currently contribute to a number of automotive magazines including Hot Rod, Circle Track, Mustang Enthusiast and others.  I’ve also written a couple of books on racing: How to Become a Winning Crew Chief (co-written with Larry McReynolds) and How to Build Chevy Small-Block Circle-Track Racing Engines.  Unimaginative titles aside, I think they are both pretty good, and if you are interested you can get both on Amazon.

That was the long way around to present my credentials.  I don’t pretend to know it all, so many of the videos will showcase the expertise of some of the best engine builders and fabricators I’ve had the opportunity to meet in over a decade in the magazine industry.  I also hope that we can build an active community here of car guys (and girls), gearheads and speed freaks willing to help each other with information and advice.

So once again, I’m glad you’ve found your way here.  If you like what you see, bookmark the site.  New videos and site features will be going up regularly.  Enjoy!
